In Betrieb ist es jedoch noch nicht. Der Bahnhof Stein pr\u00e4stentiert sich auch im neuen Jahrtausend noch mit Formsignalen. Die anderen Stellwerke an der Strecke, die durch das Estw ersetzt werden (Schweinau, Ro\u00dftal und Heilsbronn) besitzen alle bereits Lichtsinale. Noch ist in Stein auch der Bahnsteig am Gleis 1 nutzbar.
