Dieser Bahnsteig soll k\u00fcnftig den S-Bahnen die in Forchheim enden zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen. Daf\u00fcr muss der Bahnsteig auf eine H\u00f6he von 76cm gebracht werden und das Gleis 1, das bereits seit Jahren abgebaut ist, muss samt zugeh\u00f6riger Weichen neu gebaut werden. Das Gleis 1 soll als Stumpfgleis angelegt werden. Die Anbindung wird ausschlie\u00dflich Richtung N\u00fcrnberg erfolgen. Gleis 1 soll in dieser Form dann bis zum 4 Gleisigen Ausbau der Strecke als Provisorium dienen.
